Out exploring (Spiderman)

[Blink]

She looked over at Gorgon, watching him as he lay there, still unconscious and recovering from his injuries. There was a bucket of cool water next to him with a cloth in it. She pulled it over and took the cloth out, reaching up and gently dabbing it on Sabre's forehead. She listened as he spoke and lowered her head a little, closing her eyes as he talked about the orphanage. She looked back up at him as he commented on 'this place' and she gave a nervous laugh. She figured it was best that he rest before she told him what happened to her.

"You rest now, Sabber. I'll tell you everything when you're better."

She stared down at him as he lay down. It was really him. Her Sabber. She knew that wasn't really his name, but it was all she knew him by. She didn't even know how bad a pronunciation it was, for all she knew it was pretty darn close.

[Sabretooth]

About a half hour passed. The toxin wore off.... and so he smirked and started to get up. He was going to leave. Yet Blink was still there.

Glaring, he asks, "What's with you...?"

Sure, she seemed to care about him. Yet why? He stood up somewhat feeling better. So he did not wish to lay here any longer. Looking around he sniffed it out, "What the hell is this place?"

[Blink]

She looked over and smiled as he sat up, watching as he made to get up. She reached out and touched his arm to get his attention. Then he glared at her? Why was he glaring? She took her hand away at the question.

"I... I don't understand."

Then he asked where they were and she looked around, then back up at him.

"The Morlock tunnels. I've been here most of my life. That man over there saved me."

She looked over at Gorgon, a saddened look on her face as she saw he was still unconscious. Looking back up at Sabretooth, she reached up and took his hand.

"I've been looking for you for years. The orphanage was destroyed a few months after you left me there. A man... he was trying to get me. If father hadn't come along, I don't know where I'd be."

She lowered her head as she remembered that night. She could still see the shape looming over the destroyed Orphanage. It still sent chills down her spine.

[Sabretooth]

Creed got the idea. Most likely the same lot he saved her for, found her. Which was hard to believe. How? He worked hard to never let anyone know. Was it the money? Did they follow him then? Hell were those guys somehow involved? He had a lot of questions.

Yet what did he ask first?

"Is this really the Morlock tunnels?" He was under a contract to find this place. To help.... do something. Yet being here was more a shock than he expected. Worse was finding she's here. Narrowing his eyes, he stood straight and snorts a bit with her words.

"Why did you look for me? We barely shared the same space for long. You were a liability in my life kid. So don't go expecting me to be your long lost daddy." Glaring at Gorgon, he adds in, "Hell he's your father now right? So what do you want with me?"

Not really sure what it was. He glared to the entrance of the tent. Then he started walking out. Flipping up the flap he snarled again, "I'm not really sure I like it here. It smells rotten..." he turned down toward the other mutants huddled together. "All of these people hiding. It smells of cowardice."

Walking a moment he turned downward. "I don't like people watching over me. I'm alone, and that's how I'm supposed to be. So stop." He started walking off again. He was much colder. Like when she was a child, he carried her to the orphanage. He cared for her a small time. Protected her even. Yet this, was a man that was so much colder to the woman standing behind him. As if he was not interested in protecting her anymore.

[Blink]

She was thrown by his complete lack of interest. Was this really the man she'd been dreaming of her whole life? Were her childhood memories exaggerating themselves to turn him into a saint? Why was he being so cruel? Hell, she'd just saved his life from that soldier. She'd killed a man. And for who? This man who didn't even have any interest in her. She stood and followed him out, watching him as he tried to tell her off. She grit her teeth angrily and grabbed one of her javelins, throwing it at his back. It had no power in it, she didn't have the presence of mind to try and teleport him away.

"Fine, then! GO! I have spent my whole life trying to find the man who saved me from being tortured my whole life. Trying to find the man who took me in as his own for a short, but wonderful time. Well it looks like I'll have to keep looking, because you're not a man, you're an animal! Nothing but a monster!"

She turned to start back in her tent, but she stopped and looked back at him, agony in her eyes. She wanted to say something, anything to get him to change his mind and be the man she remembered, but instead she just closed the tent flap and sat down beside Gorgon, putting her head in her hands. Sitting silently, tears rolled down her cheeks as she trembled. This wasn't how things were supposed to happen. She was supposed to find her Sabber, hug him close, and everything would be all better. Her life would be fixed, Gorgon would be happy, and the three of them could get out of the tunnels to find somewhere all their own.

[Sabretooth]

That girl threw something at him. Now he's irritated, pissed and just about.... "Grrr...." he turned grabbing the thing she threw and locked eyes with her. She was so upset over something so obvious. She just didn't get it did she?

Angry more than 'sad' from this. He walked back and opened the flap. Seeing her 'cry' as she did he glared down with squint eyes. When she turned to him he snarled a bit. "You ever think about what I do? Or who I am? Why I left a kid like I did?" He glared at her more fiercely. Then he got on a knee, and offered his hand out with the javelin. Telling her softly for a surprise, "I'm dangerous. I can't get you caught in my fights. I don't want to chance getting you hurt. Do you understand that? At least?"

He really wanted her to get that. When he left her it wasn't because he wanted to. He had to. Hell, he had a lot of appreciation for the girl. Having lived a hard life like she did. Yet this isn't that life and he's not the hero. He's a villain, and he's good at it. "Look kid. I have enemies. Bad ones. Even good ones. Yet more importantly if they learned I saved a kid like you and did everything I could to keep her safe and hidden. You think they wouldn't chase them down?"

That said. He stood up roughing his hair. A smile and he had a strangely softer face. Contradiction to what she saw earlier. "I don't know why but seeing you does kind of make me feel a little better.... are, you sure no one saw me come down here?" He hadn't an idea. Yet he was kind of certain with her powers. "If... you still want, or willing I could stay a little while. I mean, really if you even care?"

[Blink]

She looked up at him as he came back in, wiping her tears away and reaching out, taking the javelin from him. He started talking to her and she looked up at him, listening to his explanation. She understood how he felt. He was trying to keep his enemies from finding her. But at that, she shook her head a little and looked up at him.

"But I wasn't safe. You left me there and not even a year after, something came there looking for me. Whoever it was... they were going to use me against you. If father hadn't found me when he did..."

She looked back over at Gorgon and bit her lip as she lay a damp cloth over his head. She was frightened for his life. He'd barely moved since she'd gotten him back and the healers had done all they could. He just wouldn't wake up.

"You didn't save me by taking me to that place. You all but condemned me."

[Sabretooth]

"...." He snorts, "I messed up. I get it. I'm sorry kid, I really am. That wasn't my plan. Honestly." Shrugging, he really wished it had worked for her. "I don't know what you want from me now. Yet if you really want I'll try and make it up to you. I mean we've got a second chance at this thing right? If you believe in those?"

He never did before. Really he didn't know why he wanted to try. He remembered the kid he saved a long time ago. The look in her eyes of longing, of a desire to be by his side. It was nice to feel appreciated. Yet she was a kid and even now in his eyes that kid wasn't the same. He frowned and scratched the back of his head. "He needs medicine doesn't he?"

Obviously, he did. Healers do a lot for physical wounds. Yet he needed antibiotics, and numerous things to help with infection. In these sewers it was the highest mortality issue the infections. Looking at Blink he tells her "I can get you medicine. If you're willing to help me." It sounded like he had a plan. While in reality he just knew where to steal it from. That's the thing, he stole what he needed to live.

[Blink]

Blink looked up at him as he asked about a second chance. She smiled a little and nodded. She looked down at Gorgon as Sabretooth asked about him. She nodded and stroked her father's shoulder gently.

"I don't know what's wrong with him. He just won't wake up."

She closed her eyes, taking a shaky breath as she wrapped her arms around his wide neck. She rest her head on Gorgon's and stroked his arm gently.

"Get anything you can. Please just help him wake up."

[Sabretooth]

That's all he needed to hear.... strange, he felt more compelled to do so. "Okay.... look, I'll have it back in a few hours. You just keep him safe until then. As well going."

He left soon after. He'd return. Then she'd know that she's okay to trust him. Least, believe in him again. Sabretooth was already getting this fucked up feeling. Something's wrong with him... whatever the hell it was. This did not feel right in any stretch of the imagination. Going out of his way to help someone else.

[Blink]

She watched him leave, then looked down at Gorgon, stroking his head gently.

"It's ok, daddy. He'll be back soon and you'll feel better."

She wrapped her arms around his head end hugged him gently.

"I love you so much. Please feel better."

She kissed his cheek gently and rest her head on his, just waiting for Sabretooth to come back.
