"I see," Jon had no idea what a Lava Tree was, but when he mentioned a cage...
Wait, was this monkey genetically engineered...and if so, why?

"Where you come from?" Minky scurries to the other shoulder and waves his tail in front of Jon's face. He thought maybe the man hadn't heard the follow up question. The monkey was actually curious where Jon came from, even though he would have no clue where it was.

Jon actually hadn't heard the follow up question the first time, he was trying to work out what Minky was saying at some places, "Well, I come from a place called Philadelphia. It's not really too far from here, but sometimes I do miss it."
He smiles a bit at this, he hadn't been home since the summer break, and even then it as somewhat awkward, especially with the recent events. And to be honest, it was a little too quiet recently, no big attacks that needed to be dealt with or anything like that.

"Frilly Delta? Sounds fun! What it like?!" It was like talking to a little kid. Of course if Jon was so curious about it he COULD ask Minky the Great. Then again... the little guy did seem to break big confusing words into little even MORE confusing words. Minky of course remembered a lot about the lab... for a monkey.

"It's kinda like it is here, though on a slightly smaller scale," he replied, smiling a bit, the monkey was a good companion, "less people, less noise, but the same amount of history."
He was quiet for a moment, just looking around. It had been a long time since he came here, almost ten years in fact, and though he went home from time to time, this place was starting to grow on him. Even if he'd never admit to it.

"So... people is smaller? You is GIANT in Frilly-delta!!!" Minky gets very very excited, he ends up ontop of Jon's head by the end of the sentence. Then as if realising something he slides back down onto the man's shoulder. He had a very simple question. "Oh... what's his-story?"

Jon chuckles a bit, "Well, I wasn't any bigger than I am now. Just-" he cut himself off, realizing there was no reason to justify this to Minky. The monkey was allowed to think what he wanted.
"Well, history is the story of everything that happened before the current time," he then realized that it might be a little complicated for the little guy, not that he thought Minky was dumb, he just had a tendency to overexplain things.
"A better way to explain. Everything that happened yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that, all the way back to the beginning of everything is history."

"Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" The monkey nods repeatedly in understanding. Of course where he ever picked that up no one would know. At least the scientists didn't watch The Three Stooges in the lab. Think of what this little speedster would be like then! "But Minky no say you big! You say Frilly-delta smaller. So house smaller, people smaller, meals... smaller... Well that no good! Meals good why meals smaller?!"

"Well, sometimes good things come in small packages," says Jon, "or in this case, good meals come in smaller portions."
He knew it wasn't worth trying to change the monkey's perceptions, and to be honest, was it really his place to do so?

"Minky suppooooose...." He didn't seem convinced, although his brows were furrowed in confusion and thought. It seemed the idea of good food being in smaller proportions just didn't quite add up. Then again he was used to eating food that was almost as big as he was and to him it always tasted amazing. Except, of course, when it didn't.
