Angel walked silently into the Danger Room, adjusting the wrist on her black practice uniform. She headed inside and put in a code on the keyboard. As she watched, the room started to form a target range, almost an obstacle course for her powers themselves. She would have to form smaller and smaller weapons in order to reach the targets. Standing at the starting area, she closed her eyes and concentrated, holding her hands out to form the blades. So far, they were set slightly lower than her previous record. Opening her eyes, she gripped the blade and threw, watching as it flew straight through the hole and into the target behind it. Smiling, she lift her head a little.
"50% smaller please."
She looked and watched as the hole shrunk by half and she closed her eyes, concentrating on the new size. She held the new blade and opened her eyes, staring at the target for a few moments before throwing the second dagger. Watching with held breath, the dagger almost seemed to be flying in slow motion. This was the smallest she'd ever had to make a dagger, so if she could get this one through... But instead, it flew and got stuck.
"Damnit!"
She slammed her fist on the counter and sighed, rubbing her temples in annoyance. She couldn't figure out why it was so hard for her to make these so small. She had complete control over her barriers, but she couldn't form them into proper weapons. Maybe she was just meant to live life as a shield.

Whistling a jig nonchalantly Amadeus walks into the danger room with a drawer in his hands. If someone looked closely they would recognize it as belonging to one of the cabinets in the kitchen. He looks around then keys in something and a table appears. He doesn't seem to really care that the girl is there, and the shadiness seems to be an act. He quickly upends the contents of the drawer onto the table, then tosses the wooden object aside. Silverware had tumbled out and covers the table that the danger room had created for him.

Jon walks in a moment later, and looks at Deus, "You got the stuff I see," he says, indicating the upended drawer on the table. He quickly shifts through it, checking to see what's there.
"Huh...looks like you brought the butter knives this time. Should be a good incentive."

She jumped a little as someone walked in and turned, watching Deus and Jon walk in. She raised an eyebrow in curiosity, leaning back against the counter and watching them. They were sifting through... silverware? And talking about it like it was a drug deal or something going down. Standing, she slowly walked over and looked down at the table.
"So... What exactly are you guys doing?"
She looked over at Deus, then at Jon, intensely curious as to what was going on. She knew neither of these guys were into illegal activities, so she didn't think they were doing anything bad. At the moment it was just... weird.

"And the salad forks. We're practicing. Go long Jon." Amadeus picks up the first butter knife and as he waits for Jon to get to whatever distance he chooses, he acquaints himself with the weight of the knife, as well as its balance point. This involves a bit of tossing and flipping of it, as well as spinning in his hand. Of course he was being a little showier than usual. He thought about juggling them, but there wasn't time for such tom foolery, he had to do the same with the salad forks! Although these he also balances on his finger after getting the feel for them. It was a good way to pass the time.

Jon waves at Angel, remembering her from around on campus, before running about 15 feet away from the other two.
"Alright, on the count of 3," he calls back, setting his stance.
"1"
Jon puts his arms at his sides and closes his eyes, concentrating on his powers...
"2"
he squeezes his hands shut, still trying to focus...
"3" he opens his eyes, waiting for Deus to do what they planned.

(Just so you know, Angel's been at the school since around middle school age)
She raised an eyebrow and moved back a little, watching silently as the two men played out whatever it was they were doing. She leaned back against the counter and just waited, wondering what exactly they were planning. Deus was checking the weight of the knives and Jon was moving to the other end of the room. Was this target practice? Why was he throwing things at Jon if it was target practice? Just to be sure, she concentrated on Jon, getting ready to put a shield around him in case it went wrong. There was one thing that she had excellent control over and that was her split second reflexes. So if anything went wrong, no harm would come to Jon.

Amadeus flicks the fork up into the air from the end of his finger at the beginning of the count down. He catches it on two, and on three he throws it right at Jon's right shoulder. His form was perfect, as it should be. He had been hunting small game with knives and other primitive equipment for the last three months. He was wearing an eye patch over his left eye. The patch of the day was an angry smiley face with a toothy grin, arms, legs, tennis shoes, and a chaingun.

Jon watched the fork fly at him, putting up a hand as if to block the hit with his palm. But instead the fork seemed to slow it's flight in mid-air as he concentrated harder and harder. Sweat poured off his face, but sadly, Jon lost control, and the fork picked up its speed again, jabbing him square in the center of his palm.
"Damnit!" he exclaims, checking his hand, "I thought the laws of physics still applied here. That fork should have dropped with that loss of momentum."

Angel stood back and watched in fascination as Deus threw the fork at Jon. Her jaw dropped as she watched him slow the fork down. She knew Jon's powers and this was NOT one of them. As the fork sped up again, she managed to get the shield up just in time for the fork to get stuck in mid air. She walked over to Jon as the blue shield shimmered around him, watching for a few moments before she grabbed the fork out of the shield and let it dissipate.
"What in the world was that, Jon? Since when are you Telekinetic?"

"Maybe instead of actually stopping it you made more of a sling effect..." Amadeus was puzzled by this as well. Jon was right of course, about the law of physics. The only solution was that it had to do with the powers themselves. "I hope this table is bolted down..." He was remembering back to the dance when a table had flipped and hit up upside the face.

"Yeah, I agree," says Jon, picking up the fork.
At that point he noticed Angel was walking up to him, then asked her question, "Well, I've been sorta able to do this ever since I got my head kicked around by a big blue man named Thanos. Not a fun experience mind you, but it's had its slight upsides," he answers before picking the fork up.
He tosses the fork back to Amadeus, "It's also something I need to get a handle on, considering it likes to randomly pop up and fling things across the room. Though luckily it's been throwing smaller and smaller things, and the headaches are nowhere near as bad as they were..." he kinda trails off after that, not sure how much he really wants to explain.

Angel watched the two and looked over at Envoy as he spoke, listening silently. She nodded a little and thought for a few moments. After a second, she typed something into the computer and the target range disappeared, turning into a standard Telekinetic practice course.
"Here, Jon."
She walked over to a new table and picked up a pebble, holding it out for Jon.
"Just try lifting this into the air. Start small, that's always how it works. Just lift it up a little bit."

The left side of Amadeus's face twitches, then the right side winces. Jon would know that's his version of an eyebrow raise. Ever since he had gotten clawed all the muscles in that area were screwy and expressions like that tended to hurt. He kept quiet, despite the fact he preferred their way. It would be faster, and if Jon had had better control sooner... but that wasn't his fault. Amadeus had to remind himself. Jon had only discovered it a couple days before they tried their rescue. His right hand was squeezing the next projectile, knuckles white. His eye was glazed, no longer focused on the room around him.

"Well, alright," he says, holding out his hand. Without much of an effort, he picked up the pebble, the computer monitor, and the table, which he then puts down almost effortlessly, "I've got basic control like lifting things down," he explains, "though I think I overdid it a little with the table."
He kneels down, as if recovering, before standing up, "It's moving objects I can't seem to do anything about, as you saw," he says, floating the pebble over to his hand, and then tossing it up in the air and catching it.
"Hence the silverware. With this, I really don't want to get hurt again, so I do my best to stop it the next time," he continues to explain, floating the pebble, then landing it gently on top of Angel's head, "sorry, couldn't help myself, seemed like fun."
