After what seemed like too many hours, the Xavier family jet finally landed in a small private airport near Edinburgh in Scotland.
"Well Eric, I hope this meeting ends better than the last," says Xavier, placing one of his chess pieces back on the board. He enjoyed these little games, it gave him an outlet in which to practice his concentration, and to also keep his mind off of other matters that were currently bothering him, "finish this on the return flight?"

Eric looked at the board and smiled a bit. Soon as Charles spoke, he stood and moved his knight. "Check, you will have all the time in the world to think your next move. Like you'd need it?"
It was luck..... Charles was kind enough not to use his powers. When he did, he had no chance. Hell it's no fun to always beat your friends in game. Walking to the chair Magneto asked as he wheeled him along. "What do you feel from her mind? Charles? Anything particularly problematic?"

"I missed that little trick there Eric, well played old friend."
As he was wheeled off the plane, Xavier was quiet for a few moments before answering, "I wish not to intrude upon her mind," he says, "she has a knack for knowing when I do." And he was right, Moira always could seem to read him like he read others minds. But that was in the past...maybe things were different now...or maybe fewer things had changed than he thought...

"Nothing then? Well I...."
However there is something unexpected. The front doors were shattered and busted. Yet worse was the sight of the large feet that stomped into the building. Magneto narrowed his eyes as he held to the handles of Charles's chair. "Charles, kindness and all aside. I think we need to find your friend immediately."
Pushing him ahead. Erik and Charles pass the front desk people working here had been smashed about like dolls. Not killed. Yet only 'harmed' to a degree. Frowning more Magneto requests, "Where is she Charles?"

"Give me a moment..." he says, holding his hands to his temples. He begins to search the corridors, but so many were just like this one, and he was unsure of where he was going on the first place.
Charles must have brushed with the minds of dozens before he located her, unconcious somewhere on the third floor of the east wing.
"Third floor, east building," he says, "there is much interference, and that is sadly all the information I could get."

"Good..." Suddenly he jumped into the seat. Sitting there he remarks, "Won't mind if I use your legs with my own for a while?"
Teh chair levitates swiftly. In fact, swifter than Erik ever pulled off before. As they rise upward he also seemed less winded, or distracted as most other times. It was as if he'd not been working in the school the last few years. Getting rusty.
Following to the window. They levitate outside the window. With a scan about Erik saw something like those pendulum balls, and so as they pop off and smash the window it fell as shards. Allowing them to enter into the room.
This office was huge but more importantly there was this large hole in the doorway. Leaving Charles to move on his own. Erik walked over taking note the one responsible was gigantic...
"Lord... this had to be the work of someone built as if a tank." Frowning at the dome-like portion the head would be. He scratched his own head. If not a tank he certainly was like a canon shell.
Still Moira was here and needed help. Somewhere inside this damnable place. None knowing just where and the extent of the danger she may or may not be in. Erik peeked out seeing the large amount of damage.
Suddenly Charles felt fear. Fear in the corner of this room. There is someone awake, afraid and holding a lead pipe but curled in a ball shivering with small prayers in their head the monster that was here won't be back. A fellow researcher that was genuinely frightened enough he'd urinated himself repeatedly today.

Xavier reached out with his mind, and gently coaxed the man to sleep. But as he did, he also pulled the location of Moira out of the man's mind.
"Office 3102," says Xavier abruptly.

"Right." Nodding, he ran with Charles.... well whom rolled with him. They make their way toward the office. However as they close in Erik felt himself being struck with a chair.... and then another chair, and a pipe.
The assailants were all the same man. But stranger still was as this man was behind Charles's chair and pushing him fast into a wall. Seven of the same man now stood in long black coats and those that attacked Eric soon kicked him over and held him down with their boots.
The one behind Charles threw the chair over and asked, on an intercom. "I thought you said there was no one else up here moving. I just found two old geezers."
"I took care of anyone and everyone there Madrox. Trust me. No one was walkin' when I was done."
"Well the one was in a wheelchair. So I guess you're right about that." Slowly nudging Charles he raises a brow. Who was this old fuck?
The other on the line was silent. Then a moment later they asked, "What does he look like?"
The man, Madrox. He shrugged and said, "Kind of like a gimp Mr. Clean. Who knew... but still I don't quite know but he looks familiar to me."
"...." The other was heard snarling under his breath. Yet he ordered, "Get rid of them I've got the woman. I'm heading to the ship. Red won't be waiting long so hurry up."
A nod, and a shrug. The other fellow bent down and sighed. "Sorry pops. Looks like we've only met.... this is goodbye my old friend. Until we meet again." A grin, he fumbled in his jacket. Unfortunately, he looked around. "Shit, who has the gun?"
The others start looking in their pockets and sides. Finally, one held up a pistol saying, "Found it. But didn't Essex say no killing?"
Tossing the weapon he caught it as the other him asks, "When did pistol whipping someone ever kill someone?"
"Last time we beat Us#5 with a pistol..... drunk, I know but...."
"Last time it killed someone that wasn't a copy?" He grinned but waved it off. Fun times were they... he reached for Charles readying to beat his head in. Yet obviously none of these boys knew whom they were messing with.

Xavier didn't move, or even flinch. These men were about to have a very very bad day in only a few moments.
Reaching into the mind of the one with the gun, he began to hide away his memories, blocking everything from his childhood to his threats away in a dark corner of his mind. But before he locked them away permanently, he pulled the information on the landing site for these very very foolish brutes.
"Now Susie, please help Uncle Xavier up," he says out of nowhere.
At that moment, the man who's mind he had just replaced squealed with excitement, in a fashion very unsettling, "Okay Unky Charles," and gently lifts his wheelchair to an upright position.
"Thank you dear, now would you mind helping Mr. Magnus up as well?"
The man then went over to Magneto, and picked him up off the floor, looking back with a wide grin on his face.
"Very good Susan," said Xavier, "you've made your uncle very proud."

Magneto frowned as he's lifted up.... "Charles, what the hell's going on here?" He rubbed his shoulder as it aches. Then he narrowed his eyes at the man. Oh he got it...
"You're controlling them?"
How is unusual. Following Charles and these fellows. They look out the window to see someone walking. He's huge.... in red armor and over his shoulder there is a woman unconcious. It was Moira. A nod and Eric looked to Charles as he was going to need to lead those men. While he was a bit less cappable in a fight now that he got a busted arm.
"Might I add I'm not a fan of frontal assaults. So my next question what's your plan Charles?"
Easily the giant fellow that was called 'Juggernaut' showed the most danger to them. Especially carrying his friend. Yet the strange black ship ahead. It was a lot like the blackbird but made of a strange, surreal material. In truth it looked alive. Or, something like that.
A plan is needed. While Eric sat down and held his shoulder trying to relax the ache.

"It was the only thing I could do on such short notice. Though I do not enjoy this one bit."
Xavier rolled himself over to Eric.
"I think there is only one thing to do. This man does not know that his men are under my control," he looked at the now blank eyed goons, "we can possibly use them to get to Moira undetected."

"I do not see a reason not to..." Ethics be damned. This stranger was of use to them. A nod he stood up and since he worked for the enemy it's reasonable. War is war. Which this is between they who were two men. Yet they knew not how many enemies were ahead of them. Looking to Charles he comments, "If you think you can do this then go ahead. Just be careful Moira's knowledge is important to us all Charles. Perhaps, you can sneak her off that ship somehow?"
He was well aware now's a good time to get back to the hawk. So he stood and asked, "I'll fly us behind them. If there is a issue and you need to get her out fast. I suggest we use the air to our benefit. If that sounds like a feasible means?"

"It's the only real option we have..." says Xavier, trailing off. He didn't like this plan, but it was all they had available to them.
"I will have them take me as a 'prisoner,' that should allow me to get close enough to maybe do something about this."
He wheeled over to the men, then looked back at Magnus, "Wish me luck old friend."

"Wait a minute. Are you insane? You can't go there. You might get in serious trouble then what do I do?" Glaring angrily. He pressed a hand to Charles's chest. "Don't be a hero. You can control this man's mind from the blackbird. It will be safer and more realistic... besides, what if they know of you? Or your powers? What if they seek to destroy you?"
He shook his head. This isn't good.... not the least bit. He did not, did not approve of this idea. Not in one way or the other. However he did decide after a snort and glance off. He said, "Good luck you damn fool..."

"They're also expecting them to have someone old friend. Also, if I run into any problems, I can trust you to help me out of any trouble, just like when we were younger," he smiles at this, knowing that though they were old, they would still be able to deal with these problems, and any threats to the mutant community...
If only he didn't believe in reading others minds at will...then he might have suspected things to come...
