Name: Anna Marie
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Side: Neutral
Affiliation: Civilian
Description:
Personality: The best way to describe Rogue would be to call her Southern Belle, but never say that to her face. She has all the aspects, the looks, the accent, and the will to do anything for her friends or someone really in need. But at the same time, Rogue's whole attitude can turn around and she can be the meanest woman you'll ever meet. The X-Men had many women who were not to be crossed, but with her super strength, and flight ability, Rogue is a particularly vengeful woman.
This side of Rogue only comes out when she's feeling threatened, or believes that someone close to her is feeling that way. However, seeing a defenseless child getting hurt really sets off Rogue, probably a link to her early childhood. Rogue is a sweet gal, but is always defensive, a trait gained from her mutant abilities distancing her from the world.
Powers/Abilities: With her powers, Rogue is easily one of the more powerful mutants around, but can also be considered weak. Her ability to steal other powers from mutants and use them herself make her unstoppable sometimes, but in the same effect, the memories and psyches left behind well after the powers disappear, is what messes Rogue up.
When touching someone, Rogue can steal their whole life from them, as proven by her fight with Ms. Marvel, that permanently granted Rogue super strength, flight, slight immunity to toxins and poisons, a "seventh sense" allowing her to anticipate an enemies moves, as well as a nearly indestructible body. Because there is an entirely separate mind within Rogue's mind, she has a resistance to even the most powerful telepaths.
History: Rogue's early childhood was a depressing one, raised by her aunt Carrie after trade took her away from her parents, Rogue learned to live in fear. Carrie raised Rogue with a tough hand, giving her a good beating when Rogue did something wrong. Eventually it became too much for Rogue and she ran away.
This was when Mystique found her, posing as a human woman. Offering Rogue a hot meal and free board, Rogue accepted the offer and went home with Mystique, meeting Irene Adler, Mystique's best friend. Eventually the three made a happy home together, Rogue accepting the two women as her new parents.
It wasn't until Rogue's early teenage years that her power would surface. Out on a date with Cody Robbins, Rogue kissed him and discovered that something wasn't right. Her mind was flooded with his memories and personality, and Cody fell into a deep coma that he would never wake from. It was then that Mystique put her plan into action, persuading Rogue to join the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, to protect her from a life of hurting normal people. Rogue accepted and help Mystique with her criminal plans. When her first mission came, Rogue met up with Ms. Marvel, a mutant possessing flight and super strength. The two fought, but Rogue was inexperienced and knew little of her powers, it was during this mission that Rogue permanently absorbed the powers and mind of Ms. Marvel, putting the women into a permanent coma as well.
Burdened with the psyche of Carol Danvers inside her head forever, Rogue sought out her enemies, the X-Men. The sincerity and power of Charles Xavier made Rogue believe that he could help her to control her powers, something she had come to think of as a curse.
However, Rogue is unsure of whether Charles Xavier speaks the truth in her being able to master her powers, and so, stays away from the learning institution for the time being.
