Even though on a conscious level Jon knew Deus was just reacting, that didn't mean he wasn't ready for a fight as well. And to be honest, if it did come to a fight, the mansion was probably going to end up trashed...
"Aren't we all a little crazy. I mean, remember what you did to that mutant who took Mina? Sure he may have deserved, but that doesn't mean you were the one that had to do it."

He stops dead in his tracks, the left side of his face twitches as he grins lopsidedly, it looked even more twisted than it normally would. Jon had hit a bit of a button that he maybe shouldn't have. "No one else would have. Would you? Would Xavier or Magnus? The only other one that I know would have given him what he deserved is Logan, and he wasn't there to do it." The other part of it was that Amadeus wasn't thinking clearly then, although if he had to do it again he would.

"That's no excuse and you know it," he retorts, "what the hell do you think she would think of your actions? It's terrible what's happened to her, and it hurts every day to see her in this state," continues Jon, looking calm on the outside, but internally on the verge of just raging out, "but that doesn't make what you did right damnit!"

"I never said it was right. I know I'm a monster, it's another reason why I have to stay here. And you didn't hear him talking about her either. Just because my form of inflicting pain was more creative and gruesome doesn't make it any more wrong than yours would have been. Has it been bothering you? Going to meetings and training with such a monster?" He was mocking Jon slightly. He was moving around the pool table towards his friend. This conversation was going downhill fast.

With a crash, Jon sent the pool table itself flying across the room. He may not have had the physical strength to do it, but with his telekinesis augmenting his arms...it was like throwing a roll of paper towels.
He had no more words. No more talking was needed. This was not going to end well for anyone.

Amadeus moves in quickly. This was going to be a long fight, they knew each other too well. He comes in and fakes a haymaker. Instead he comes around with a left roundhouse kick to Jon's midsection. The difference was this wasn't sparring. He was trying to put a world of hurt on his friend. He was grinning like that night...

Jon sidestepped the haymaker, right into the roundhouse, which knocked the wind out of him for a moment. However, it also put him in a good position for what he wanted to do.
Gathering energy into himself, he pushed himself against Amadeus, and activated his gauntlets. As they began to cover his hands, he slammed his fist into the ground, putting a small crater in the floor, and unleashed a blast of kinetic energy strong enough to blast the two apart.

Amadeus is thrown through the wall sideways into the hallway. He was lucky, he didn't hit one of the studs. Coughing and dazed he stands up, taking a defensive position. he had pulled out his telescopic police batons. He holds the durable tonfas up, he would need them to fight Jon. Otherwise he would have too many broken bones too quickly.

Jon hit the other wall with a thud. Lucky for him, he had something of an immunity to his own abilities, and he didn't get thrown quite as hard as Deus. But it still left a good sized dent in the wall. Picking himself up, he walked out of the hole towards Amadeus, glancing at the tonfa's and knowing how Deus liked to fight with them.
He also considered any tactics the other could use, mostly trying to keep him from landing blows would be his opponents best bet, as Jon could easily crush his skeleton with a few good hits. Which meant some new tricks were in order...

Amadeus himself was thinking about the fight. Jon was dangerous at close range so he didn't want to get close. At the same time they could both fight he mid-range and long-range battles. He would have to me cunning. This was going to be hard. He backs down the hallway a bit to make sure he doesn't trip over any of the debris that they had knocked into it. There wasn't much room to maneuver in here either.

Jon glanced down at the debris, still more than capable of lifting it with his telekinesis. Or he could blast it at Deus with a powerful kinetic wall, something he had rarely used...or...
Jon reached his arms out, placing the tips of his fingers on either side of the hallway. Then, with a surge of power, he blew out a section of wall in front of Deus, intending not to harm him, but to distract him and blind him for a second, long enough for Jon to seize a chunk of debris and hurl it through the dust cloud.

Amadeus steps back as Jon touches the wall. This couldn't be good. As the wall blasts out he jumps back and then turns a backflip. He lands in a crouch, expecting an attack to follow. Instead of being completely hindered by the cloud of debris he uses it as a cover for his own attack. He fires a low-volt electrical line through the cloud. He did not want to use too much power on something like that.

He didn't hear the thud of impact, just the piece of debris impacting off the floor which meant-
The line of electricity hit the other mutant almost square on, catching his shoulder, and causing a severe jolt of pain. He had over thought the situation and payed the price. Grunting in pain, he staggered to his feet, still a little wobbly.
Alright, play time was over...
Holding out his other hand, he waited for the dust to clear, then grinned. And unleashed a wall of pure kinetic energy that ripped across the floor, hurtling debris all over the hallway.
Sure it was a lot of power, but he had a good charge, and plenty to spare.

Amadeus hears the the kinetic energy wall coming towards him. There wasn't much to do but curl up and take it. He pulls his coat around himself quickly, and keeps his arm over his face. Luckily it didn't have the force to toss him. He'd come away with some bruises but that would be it. He stands up and retakes his stance, ready for another assault.

Jon was almost right behind the wall, using his larger mass to slam into Deus in a shoulder charge, this time not needing to use any of his powers.
He'd need to keep Amadeus on his toes and off balance. Another good electrical burst could make this fight that much harder for him, and he needed to avoid those tonfa's for the time being.
