Name: Mary Alice Walker but never called that
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Side: Bad
Affiliation: Whoever pays her the most
Description:
Personality:Mary's mind has been shattered into four distinct personalities, two of which have existed since her birth, and the later two were created thanks to psychic tampering.
The "Mary" personality is physically fragile, sickly and prone to epilepsy and other neurological disorders. She does have her charm, however, in a meek sort of way, and Typhoid, and her employers, have been known to use this to her advantage.
The "Typhoid" personality is rebellious, malevolent, murderous and takes on different physical attributes such as an erratic heartbeat, alpha biorhythms, smell and an elevated body temperature. These physical attributes appear to have no negative effects on her. She is also highly sexually aggressive in this persona, and is known for using her powers to have her way with people -- She also has quite the attraction to her fellow hitman Bullseye, in this persona, and wouldn't mind 'serving under him', as she puts it.
Brutal and savage, Bloody Mary claims to be an ultra-feminist, citing her first appearance (when Mary was five), where she broke a boy's nose and arm, as an example of this, but truthfully, she just seems to possess a desire to exact pain on people, apparently because of her lousy childhood. She is the most violent of the three existing personas, and is fully capable of dealing pain with anything. Bloody Mary also appears to use her telekinesis to clad herself in scrap metal armour, and this may hint at how far she'll go to protect herself from people.
The fourth personality, "Mary Walker", appears, for all intents and purposes, to be a rational amalgam of all three personalities, and is probably the closest Mary will get to being ordinary. However, she seldom manifests, and appearances are even rarer than that of Bloody Mary.
Powers/Abilities: Typhoid Mary is a mutant and possesses a number of limited psionic powers. She can use telekinesis to levitate small objects over short distances (such as weapons of under 10 pounds; knives, razors, etc., which her "Bloody Mary" persona often gathered and assembled into improvised battle-armor). She is a powerful pyrokinetic, meaning she can cause spontaneous combustion within line of sight to set objects in her immediate vicinity aflame. She can implant mental suggestions in the minds of others. She can use her psionic hypnosis ability to induce sleep in weak-minded individuals and most animals; certain individuals are mentally resistant to her hypnotic powers.
However, she has three separate personalities as a result of her mental illness. The timid, pacifist "Mary" personality has no psionic abilities. The "Typhoid" and "Bloody Mary" personalities have the full range of these psionic powers and they are strongest in "Bloody Mary". Her original "Mary Walker" personality is supposed to be a balanced amalgam of all of these, but is seldom dominant. Because of the different heart rates and voice patterns of her different personas, not to mention the different ways of dress, even Daredevil's super-senses were long unable to tell the different personas all belonged to the same woman, and Typhoid Mary took advantage of this situation to hide from Daredevil/Matt Murdock even within earshot.
Mary Walker appears to possess the same psionic powers utilized by both Typhoid and Bloody Mary. It is unknown whether the powers she possesses equal to or stronger than those of the "Bloody Mary" personality. Recent battles suggest they are more powerful, but take their toll on Mary when used as a result of this strength.
Typhoid Mary is in excellent physical condition. She has peak human reflexes and agility, and is highly athletic. She is also trained in the martial arts, particularly Judo and Zen-Sword. She has exceptional skill in wielding and throwing bladed weapons, and is usually armed with a variety of machetes and smaller knives.
History: Apparently born to a couple who abused each other whilst Mary was in utero (she claims to have heard their screams and fights whilst developing), her early life wasn't too brilliant, apparently. She has supposedly had two of her four personalities since birth, and spent most of her childhood in and out of psychiatric institutions and halfway houses. Her aggressive persona was dubbed Typhoid by the doctors that examined her, and the name stuck. There is also evidence to support theories that she was experimented on by more than one government agency during her childhood.
As Typhoid, however, Mary finally escaped confinement, probably via her feminine wiles, and a couple of years later, Mary appeared as an aspiring actress, but parts were few and far between, and Mary eventually became a prostitute just to survive. Taking the name Lyla, Her condition was revealed to have been accidentally caused by a pre-Daredevil Matt Murdock. He had tracked a villain down to the brothel where Mary worked. He attacked the man, but to his surprise, the girls working there came at him. Panicking, he lashed out, knocking Mary out the window. It was at this moment Mary became Typhoid Mary, vowing no man would ever hurt her again.
