The SENTINEL program is funded under a clause within S.H.I.EL.D. The mission is to defend and dispose of the rising threat of Mutants. Any and all enemies of the Human Race must be faced.
Boliver Trask leads this program. However, there is always the chance that something else will come from such a dangerous program. The SENTINEL program is not allowed or accepted by mainstream society. Yet in time when it becomes needed. Trask will push for the final rise of the SENTINEL.
