Please recognize that this site plays under a NEW TIMELINE. Your character if Cannon/Original will not have any knowledge pertaining to the future, or events of popular cannon. Unless you are told/ask otherwise. The best way to understand this is to think that the world has not had heroes around long, and mutants are still not in full light. To better understand, Galactus has NOT come to Earth Yet which is a big step in Marvel Space Relations. Ask Teams like X-men's Charles Xavier or Brotherhood's Magneto about the team dynamics. As sometimes they have changed in this universe.

Titans of Thanos (Team of villains chosen by Thanos to help his goals, or former heroes turned villain with mind-control and enhanced powers.)
Morlocks (A family/team of mutants that live in the sewers with fear of their deformed mutations)
Marauders (A group of highly-trained humans given mutant powers, working for 'The facility/Weapon-X)
Hero (Any hero that works independently from the teams of heroes)
Villain (Any villain that works independently from the criminal circles)
Civilian (Any neutral or non-affiliated character that may or may not be hero or villain. Anyone even someone with powers may be a Civilian when not in a team.)

RULES!
OC: Any original character may have limitations on their powers.
humans: You may only contain the natural skills of a mortal human and use technology to improve them should you be intelligent enough. You may also be strong as a bodybuilder/acrobat yet not super-powered.
Meta-humans: Humans with powers, they may contain one set of powers (powers pertaining to a specific kind of powers) this means no people that have power over fire, air and water and able to read minds AND stronger than any man. This is not acceptable!
Mutants: You can have the same limitations as Meta-Humans HOWEVER you also can have a heightened sense of physical strength with your powers. This is called 'mutant strength' you can break up a mailbox and throw it, yet you can not lift cars. You also may be more agile than normal.
NO Original character can obtain powers stolen from a Canon character, this includes gods, mystics and even mutants. It is for the reason that Staff will not need this going on. OC are limited to basic kinds of powers, nothing around the level of cosmic powers (The Power Cosmic) control of great items (Magic items like Merlin's Stone) Also no power over others regardless of will, willful characters can always resist mental control somewhat.
Any OC can be denied on the idea they are too powerful. The same goes FOR CANON because of being too strong for general RP. There is no ban list, yet Staff has the right to refuse characters unless someone talks to Staff about the use of the character.
