About 20 to 30 years ago the Marvel and DC Universes found themselves thrust together into one giant universe. All the normal places were still there. There was still a Metropolis and likewise there was still a Wakanada. It was odd at first, especially with no explanation for it. Heroes found themselves fighting side by side while villains found new allies. Hawkeye and Green Arrow fought over who was the best Archer. Superman and Hulk fought over who was the strongest. But once that was all settled the heroes began to work together. And they began to search for the reason as to why they'd been pulled together.
Little did they know that the truth was stranger than anything else they'd ever enountered. Galactus had managed to procure the Phoenix Force for himself. And his sights were set on Earth. The combined forces of the two universes was enough to repell him and seperate the Phoenix force from him. With the threat gone they began to settle into their lives. And soon human nature took over and people began to pair off and settle down.
There was a baby boom as heroes and villains began to have children. It was around this time that the orginal Xavier's was destroyed. The Teen Titans gave up their Los Angeles tower for the new school and were absorbed into the Justice League. Then the Justice League and Avengers teamed up creating the League of Avengers. They created a special space station dubbed the Watch Tower to watch over the Earth
A few years ago the aging heroes have retired, some becoming teachers and others just trying to enjoy normal life. Their children have taken over and have become heroes in their own right. But a new breed of villains has risen as well. Creating the Brotherhood of Evil to combat the X-men and the Terror Titans to combat the League of Avengers. But everytime they fought, the heroes bested them as they seemed to be better trained. So they had to do something.
A few months ago the villains detonated numerous gene bombs all over the world, activating the meta-gene and x-gene of numerous people. Creating an influx of 'wanna be heroes' and new villains to mold and expand their ranks. So far their plan seems to be working. The teams have been flooded with raw 'heroes' almost destroying team dynamics.
But there's a new problem presenting itself. With several villains still licking their wounds and trying to figure out where to go next another villain has begun planning. From the shadows a maniacal laughter may very well signal who it is, but what do they want?
